On December 7-8, 2009, more than 200 healthcare providers, researchers, state programs facilitators, laboratory professionals, and family members participated in the Newborn Screening Summit: Envisioning a Future for Newborn Screening. The meeting provided an opportunity to visualize the newborn screening system from the point of view of diverse stakeholders, and facilitated dynamic and inclusive dialogue around rapidly expanding technology, childhood screening, effective follow-up, and consumer perspectives.Presenters:
